“Don’t ask questions!” you’ve probably heard it said… But why? What’s there to be afraid of? If what you’re believing is true than there’s nothing to fear. But what if some of the things you believe are wrong? In that case would you actually want to know the truth? Everyone has both true and false beliefs, but the seeker of truth will reject the lie and pursue the truth wherever it leads. Seeking truth is a difficult task but as Jesus Christ said, if you know the truth “the truth will set you free.”
Here at Sığınak (The Shelter) we want to create a safe environment where people are free to ask questions about God and life. We believe that Jesus is “the way, the truth, and the life” and possesses the answers to life’s hardest questions. Additionally, at Sığınak we hope to discuss these questions with one another in a respectful environment. No matter what religion you follow if you’re a seeker of truth we’re on the same team. By discussing life’s toughest questions together we can hopefully learn from each other and slowly but surely discover the truth.
